A Case of Lymphangioma Developed in the Tongue

Abstract
There has been reported very rare case that lymphangioma arise from the tongue. Lymphangioma is the analogues in the lymphatic system of the hemangioma of the blood vessels.
Lymphangioma is also believed. to arise from persistent in the rest or hamartoma which has been present at birth, but it may be so small as to be missed in the oral cavity. Lymphangioma is reported as one of the benign tumors originated from lymphatic vessels.
Recently, the author experienced one case of simple lymphangioma which resulted in the macroglossia It was confirmed, by histological examination, and so its lesion was completely cured by excision and electric cauterization under the general anesthesia.
